Hi I'm a new member with a new (to me) 91 Ls. I just drove it back to Memphis tn from Hamburg ar (220 miles) with no a/c. Recharged it and it blows very cold, but it won't blow from the dash vents. It either blows from the foot well or the defrost vents. Does anybody have a idea?

 

Can you move the levers/***** to change direction of air? Do you have any resistance there or do they move freely? It is likely that the control cables connected to the head of climate control unit are disconnected. You will have to open up the dash to access/see the back side of controls to figure out what is not working there.

 

There is some resistance. This weekend I'm going to change out the junk radio and speakers the p/o installed, so while I'm in there I'll look around at the cables.thanks for the reply.

 

Taking a radio out is a good opportunity to take a good look in there. It is possible that the cable is broken or disconnected at the other end (by the doors). Not sure if you will be able to see that through the radio opening.

 

Well I couldn't wait until the weekend. So I looked up under from the drivers foot well and sure enough while moving the selector lever back and forth, I seen it wasn't pulling the white plastic arm. Moving the white arm it started blowing out the vents. Thanks for you help.
