I have a Montero Sport ES (with the manual tranny and 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine) and my friend accidentally killed it a couple times when I had him drive it and it wouldn't start, and the battery wouldn't turn on. We got it jumped and I drove it home but I killed it when I reversed it into the driveway. Now the car won't respond; the battery doesn't turn on, jumping or push starting it doesn't work.

- I learned to drive on this car and have killed it many times in the past. Once, after killing it a few times on a hill, it wouldn't turn over but we push started it and our mechanic said I prob. overheated the starter.
- After we got the jump, tapping the brakes dimmed the lights and even turned the radio off. After reaching highway speeds this went away, didn't have any problems until I got home thankfully
- The car has almost 198k on it, and the battery was replaced last month. The engine and clutch were replaced by the previous owner about 7 months ago.

Ive had no problems except an old battery not holding a charge, but we replaced that. I appreciate any help!
