Someone please respond to this thread so I know that I am not crazy...I purchased a 91 Montero (owner told me it was a 90, thus my username....grrr) 5 door, manual shift with 180k but a new motor was just dropped in 2k ago. I have the paperwork and its new allright. So my original question on last thread was which one was a better buy for $2100 >>>> the 91 5 door v6 or the 85 3 door straight 4 with 178k. I went with the 91. Please send me your thoughts while I figure out how to upload pics.

Good, an answer, I have dealt with different forums before. This thread as well as my previous thread are not showing up under the forum Mitsubishi Monteros. Can someone explain why......perhaps not so snide as my above fellow Montero lover....

How about we talk about Montero's instead of the above remarks ? I'm a lover of classic fords as well, and the two Ford forums I am a participant of don't play these games. I am the happy new owner of a 91 Montero 4 door, v6 with manual tranny. 180k miles but motor has been taken out and new longblock installed. Back in 1998 I owned a 2 door 87 raider so I have been missing this particular first gen design for some time. I had the opportunity to purchase a 85 2 door Montero recently, but chose the 91. I will post pics as soon as I get a day off from work. Any thoughts...

In another time I would of. Now armed with a 19 month old daughter, I felt the best choice nowdays was the 91. My 87 raider was so fun tho....hey where is Bouse, Az ? Im from Phoenix.
