central locking and indicator don`t work temporarely
Hi there,
I really hope you can help me on this one.
We are travelling with our Mitsubishi Montero 2003 3.8 in Belize on our way down to Argentina.
Unfortunately, the car started to have some weird issues.
Mostly during the day (when it gets really hot) the central locking system just stops working. I then have to open every door by itself using the manual key. Also, when this happens the indicators wouldn´t work either at the same time.
After a while (time differs every time) both systems come back to life and I can use the central locking and indicators again.
I`ve never had this issue during night when it´s cooler outside.
Could it be a fuse or relay?
I am really looking forward to your help.
Take care,
dermessing
PS: I also posted at mitsubishi-forums.com, hope thats ok.

Can't guarantee it 100%, but I think you are on the right track with a relay or fuse. You describe it as temperature dependent, so it could be one of those components acting up. I'd replace one of them or both and see if it resolves the issue.
