harmonic balancer gets loose

Default harmonic balancer gets loose

3.5L engine the bolt that holds the harmonic balancer falls out how can I fix this, it has the correct torque any suggestions

It shouldn't do it if its torqued to correct spec. After you tension the bolt, does harmonic balancer seats properly and firmly or is is loose and wobbly? It is possible that you have mangled up thread ether on the bolt or the female thread on the crankshaft. With the help of a small mirror check the internal threads to see if something is stuck in there preventing bolt from full engagement. Clean and degrease mating surfaces on the pulley and the crankshaft. You need to lightly oil the bolt threads. Make sure you don't forget the washer between the bolt and the dampener. I believe the correct torque is 137 ft-lbs. That is a heck of a lot.
