I'm trying to locate the freewheel clutch solenoid on my 2004 Montero Sport. I've check on passenger side near wheel, where I thought it would be. Anyone know where I can find this. My four wheel drive indicator light is blinking and I want to replace this part in hopes it will fix the problem. Thanks

 

1) get a real diagnosis.
2) i would expect it coming to the rear of the hubs. A) you sure you have one? B) check between there and the transfer case.

Check below the air filter box, that's where mine is on the full size 2002 montero, looks like the one on the link above. ^^^^

 

I'm positive my car has this part, I can purchase it for $80-90. I have looked everywhere suggested, through wheelwell, under car, under the hood. No luck. Thank you for the suggestions though.
