Default Montero-New Engine, Old Spark Plug Wires

I have a 2001 Montero Limited. I just wanted to know, when a certified mechanic replaces a car's engine with a new engine, is it normal to use new spark plugs but use the old spark plug wires from the original engine? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If the wires were in good condition sure, but I'd replace them if it was me.
