Default Montero backfires through intake at startup but runs smooth

Hey guys I have a 2002 mitsubishi montero limited that I just put a new motor in, It is now throwing a faulty tps electrical code and bank 2 rear o2 sensor code (which I believe is just an exhaust leak). The truck starts right up when cold but when warm it likes to backfire through the intake and I have to feather the throttle to start it. Also the throttle is unresponsive from a dead stop but drives fine at speeds. I broke the tps connection when removing the harness connector. So, I replaced it with a cheap aftermarket from eBay. I'm chasing a couple gremlins and need some advice...
1.) I'm guessing either the cheap throttle position sensor is defective, or that it needs to be adjusted with the computer according to the manual, does anyone have experience with this? Are there adjustments, it looks like the sensor is built to rotate on the throttle body? And also like this might take a special computer to do?
2.) I feel like the engine is backfiring through the intake when the engine is turning over and is warm and it is difficult to start (it doesn't do it on a cold start), could this be a timing belt that is a tooth off? It runs relatively smooth, and idles nice (other than the lack of power on take off), but it sounds like the valves are a little loud on the driver side cylinder head (maybe I'm paranoid)... Could this also be contributed to the throttle position sensor? What else could cause the popping noise other than valve timing? Should I pull everything off the front of the motor to double check all the timing marks?

I'm spent after rebuilding the motor, and would appreciate any advice? thank you guys for any feedback you may have

I would definitely start by checking your timing belt just to make sure it is not off by a tooth. All the symptoms you describe (backfire, hesitation, etc.) could be due to that.
The Bank 2 sensor 2 code is not likely to be related to an exhaust leak. Sensor 1 monitors amount of O2 and "quality" of combustion, sensor 2 is there to monitor catalytic converter performance. It is possible that the sensor is bad, bad wiring, or that it's mistakenly plugged into the sensor 1 socket. Check timing belt, then wiring on the rear O2.
