Here my question, does anyone know what diesel engine will fit in a 02 Montero Limited 3.5 4x4?

I want to swap it..for longer life and for the more mpg.
How ever I haven't been able to find anything that fits..

or is there a better engine out there for it?

I'm open to any feedback....

 

You can fit anything that fits in the hole. It all depends on how deep you pockets are, how high your skill level is, and what the laws of your country will allow.

This model would have come with a diesel option, probably a 4M40 or 4M41
