Smile 2015 or 2016 ?

Hello Mitzy Enthusiasts. I have had a couple over the years(great vehicles). A Dodge Colt(built by Mitsubishi) and currently a 2004 Eclipse GS(given to me as a gift). I want to by a new Outlander. The 2015 looks great and my local dealerships have some great deals on them right now. The 2016, coming in July,(I think); is a new cosmetic style and according to Mitsubishi has over 100 new improvements. I am looking at SE's with Premium Package. The 2015's are almost $5000 off MSRP. I am assuming I can only negotiate about $2000(maybe) off the MSRP of the 2016. So, should I buy now or wait for the 2016 ?

Go with 2016. I have 2012 and 2014(my wife). I dont like 2014 as much as my old one, hopefully 2016 would be better. Also, i bought 7 or 8 new cars in my life time, i always got atleast 15% off msrp(does not matter if it was new model or not), sometimes negotiation takes few days.

if you have access to multiple dealers, just email them. let them know you are shopping for cars as well as dealerships. I did this with my Subaru and easily got invoice pricing. Only 2 of the 3 dealerships played ball. Both offered invoice pricing, one was low-pressure...guess which one I went with.

I'd shoot for the 2016. We just picked up the 2015, got it for cheaper than what we'd expected thanks to USAA's car buying service and a trade in on our older car that was probably 100 miles away from throwing a rod (had some good knocking going on while under load at 2-2.5K RPM). Anyway, we'd been on the fence about purchasing a new Outlander for a couple reasons.. Firstly, we really wanted to keep our purchase domestic. I got a kick when we were at the dealer and I saw that the window sticker said that this car was 99% Japanese Origin. Second, we knew nothing about Mitsubishi and were skeptical due to not seeing many dealerships around anymore, similar to just before Suzuki pulled out of the US market.

After researching, taking a test run, and getting the price right; we were sold. Proud owners of a 2k15 Outlander SE, 2WD (bummer didnt get AWD/4WD, but we get twice the MPG than that of our trade in and slightly more room). Just saw the 2k16 online, boy does it look spiffy. If your in position to wait it out, I'd wait it out.

I just bought the 2015 SE and I got a Great Deal!!! 2,000 rebate Plus 500 loyalty rebate and I got 10yr 100,000 bumper to bumper warranty! So I would go with the 2015 unless you don't need the rebates. Then I would go for the 2016

hi, i received coupon for synthetic oil change for $35, so i went to mitsu dealership. They had 2016 model on the floor. Oh my... it looks so good from the outside. I did test drove one. Ride pretty much the same, just way more quiet inside and feels like it have more power, even i drove same 4 cyl as i have. Dealer told me they have different transmission. Interior looks same as my 2014, but cloth seats material is different, better quality. Overall, i like it a lot, big step up from 2014-15 model.

Talking Outlander SE

Yeah ,,, they are Really Nice!!! Mine is a 015 and the interior is really Nice half leather and half cloth , but the cloth is a lot nicer then the ES model and the Mirage I had. And it Rides real Quiet. If the 016 is Better it would put you to sleep lol I had mine for two weeks and I finely had to put Gas in it and this was half hwy& city and I'm Getting 27.4 mpg! I thought that was pretty good and it's not Broke in yet. So I know when I go on a trip to will get close to 35 mpg . We will see. I looked at the 2016 Outlander SEL and Boy was that one Sharp!!! Is that the ones you test Drove?
