brake CVT problem after getting rear ended
Hi all,
I own a 2016 outlander SE, 9.5k miles, CVT. The other day, a woman rear ended me (2002 toyota camry) while I was at a complete stop. Now I notice that the breaking is not very smooth and i feel a low vibration when nearing complete stop. Also, the acceleration is also not very smooth, like it was used to. Now it jerks often and i feel the ride is not smooth. Can this be due to the crash? It seems un-related but definitely started after the crash.
any thoughts?
Thanks
Drisg

Sorry to hear this - I'll be curious to haer what the actual cause of this was (meaning; what exactly got broken.)
Glad you are OK!
I would also be curious about how much "visible" damage there was to both cars. In other words - how did the Outlander do?

Thank you to you both The Silent Seed and ccernst.
To be frank the visible damage is just to the rear bumper. The impact caused the attached side panels to pop out. My concerns were mostly on the frame. But then I noticed/felt the slow rumbling/vibration towards a complete stop when applying brake and non-smooth acceleration. A friedn of mine who is savyy on car stuff told me that the impact was applied when my car was still, it can cause the braking system to absorb the entire impact. I handed the car over to the body shop noting the transmission and braking problem. They'll inform me the extent of damage today or tomorrow. I'll update the details here.
