Unfortunately, these LEDs just failed.

I checked them out yesterday and discovered that on one bulb the "projected" LED is out and on the other bulb, there were 1-2 strips of side LEDS that were no longer lit.

These are going back to Amazon and the search continues for quality DRL LED Projectors.

Just a followup that the 3497 are perfect OEM replacement looking bulbs for 4 bucks vs the dealer weird ones. Glad I read this thread and skipped the 1156.

Default New DRL LEDs

Ok guys, I returned the projector DRL bulbs to Amazon. Very easy return.

I picked up a set of JDM's from Amazon for $20:

Amazon.com: JDM ASTAR 800 Lumens Super Bright AX-2835 Chipsets 1156 1141 1073 3496 7506 LED Bulbs ,Xenon White: Automotive

So far so good. I got a pic of them but the color accuracy is just not there, so I do not want to post it as it doesn't do them justice. I can assure you they are white and bright, good if not better than the projectors that failed.

You can see some of the pics from Amazon.

Cheers!

Did you need any resistors? Still going strong?

No resistors needed, those are generally for turn signals (I think).

Still going strong! They are certainly white and cleaner looking than the stock halogens.

Hi Cali Duck, are your JDM ASTAR 1156 just as visible and bright as the stock yellowish bulb it replaced?

Yea they're better. They don't have the yellowish light to them, they are white.
