Not very hopeful, I'd say.
That's very similar to what they used to say about Diaqueen ATF-J2.
Depends on how common the fluid becomes and how different it is from other manufacturers fluids. AMSOIL does try to reach the biggest market it can with their products - not great for niche fluids but makes sense from a business POV. AMSOIL is constantly reworking their line of products.

US Retail of Signature Series ATL is currently $11.50/qt - Canadian retail is a bit more. Wholesale options exist so talk to your local dealer, site sponsor or PM me.

I think my manual says j3 as well
The factory fill is red
Isn't the j3 the green stuff?

Pay close attention to the first part of the spec. There are ATF-Jx and CVT-Jx fluids. I understand CVT fluids are green and ATF is red.

ATF J3 is probably just a slight improvement over ATF-J2. My '07 owner's manual says ATF-J2. My '07 service manual says ATF-J1.

Our auto transmission is also used in the Nissan XTrail. I haven't looked hard enough to figure out what they use in that.

Smile Redline D6 ATF

Redline D6 ATF seems to be a suitable alternative for J2 as well.

Serpentor, I see that you are an Amsoil dealer.

Any Amsoil substitute for J3 yet?

Thanks.

Sorry Outlaander,
There is no AMSOIL product that meets the Mitsubishi ATF-J3 specification - yet.

I'll keep checking the specs on the AMSOIL Signature Series Fuel-Efficient Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid page - when I see AMSOIL add the spec to the list I'll post here. They usually like to make a big announcement when new specs are added.

Mitsubishi SP-IV, ATF J2;
Note: Not for use with CVT applications.
