DVD in motion patch for NR261EM
Ok - Waiting for verification from rcostin that this works, but thought I'd shove them up here anyways..
2 versions : one for v109
NR261EM_NoDvdProhibit_Patch
and one for v111
NR261EM_NoDvdProhibit_updated_patch
Again : rename the delete the .txt extension to get the rar back..
Also waiting on word of whether the update CD worked : It'll be nice to have a more accessible method of updating the firmware, avoiding all this unplugging/unlocking of hard-drives...

Otaku, where are you located? I'll donate my Outtie to see if this works if you're in the SoCal area.

Unfortunately I'm in the land of Guinness..
Belfast to be exact..

So. The image works well (after we modified the version tags, Otaku knows about). The MMCS discovers the CD and is loading the image as a regular update.
BUT... Because the internal version of the program remain the same, after bootup the system detects the CD as a NEW version and tries to load it up again. You are prompted if you want or not to make this upgrade and you may safely choose NO.
And this is it, enjoy the update

RE: DVD in motion patch for NR261EM
can you explain in more detail what is the procedure? after unrar those files i obtained a patch.exe file.
1. how i can find out what version i should use on my mmcs - the 109 or 111 version?
2. what should i do wuth patch.exe file? it is enough to burn it on an empty cd and the put the mmcsinto cd drive of the outlander?
thank you!

rcostin now has the iso image up on his site..
It should just be a simple burn, and insert..

Right click and "Save as ...". Unrar the files and burn the ISO on CD. Insert the new CD in MMCS, wait for the update to finish, cancel the other, insert a DVD and enjoy the movie.
And, as always, TAKE CARE WHEN YOU DRIVE AND WATCH DVDs
