You need to re-apply your patched loading to have DVD in motion back.
Version downgrade is possible.

Wow nice. I think years ago we all thought that you could only "upgrade" the version. I've got my original hack CD somewhere, or I at least still have the files saved.

I don't really want to spend $200 on a map update. But my maps are '05. I never upgraded because I thought I would lose my DVD hack and didn't know my "old" hack CD would work again.

Default It is difficult to read the hard disk

Hoping someone can help. Just bought an Outlander and the MMCS won't turn on - it logs an error "It is difficult to read the hard disk ...".

Will unlocking the disk and cloning to a new disk resolve this? One problem, I cant get it into service mode, which I think is a requirement for unlocking.

Any thoughts?

Unlocking has nothing to do with service mode.
Service mode is available when MMCS is working fine.

If hard drive is still alive restoring corresponding backup will fix the issue.

I was hoping to enter service mode in order to determine which key to use to unlock. But no matter, as have used this iso which does not use a key http://www.svocop.com/Articles/UnlockMMCS.iso

But, am unable to unlock my drive, which makes me think that the disk is faulty. So it would seem that the only route to repair is to purchase a new automotive grade disk. But where can I download an appropriate image for it? Anyone here able to provide me with a disk image suuitable for a 2007 EU mmcs?

You should ask in the EU thread. This is the UM (north america) one.
