Engine idle on 2005 Outlander
Engine idle increasing to about 1900 RPM after driving a few miles in warmer weather (not a problem in winter), it returns to normal after switching off the engine for a few minutes.
Anyone have any ideas anyone, could a defective PCV valve cause this?

shooting a bit in the blind, but something somewhat easy to try. Usually there is something called an Idle Air Control (IAC) that bolts onto the throttle body and will probably have a small wire harness with two wires coming out. I've had two of them get gummed up with an oily residue that gets brought back from one of the valve covers. I've done it to a Grand AM and my Ranger. Go get yourself some carb/brake cleaner from an auto parts store and remove the IAC. Hose down the oily port. If you have a spare toothbrush, you can get that to work sometimes to. Let it dry for a bit and hook it up. You may get some check engine lights to come on...if that happens, don't worry....probably some of the brake cleaner had not dried out and got ingested.

The problem is back again, and it seems to be worse, sometimes when I start the vehicle when STILL HOT, the idle goes up to 3000 RPMs, I turn it off and restart and it's okay.
Any suggestions, I replaced TPS sensor and even replaced the throttle body.
Thanks for any help.
