Factory fit roof rails

RE: Factory fit roof rails
I'm sure you can order them as replacement parts through any dealers parts department. I would hold on a bit to see if theres anyone here that is willing to sell you theirs, I'm sure the dealer will charge an arm/leg for them. Do you have any prefference as to what color you want them (black or silver)? I saw an LS the other day in my town without them, I could tell it was an LS because ofthe 4WD sticker and the blackskidplate, so it is not out of this world for some people to take them off.
Good luck.
Good luck.

It's not as straight forward as that to put roof rails on. It involves taking down your head lining and inserting other parts which won't come with the replacement rails. I'm not 100% certain but when I first enquired to do mine I was told the roof is different to the roof rail model and the dealer wouldn't get involved with fitting it for me due to warranty issues.

I just spoke to Mitsu NZ and they said the same thing. The parts are $1500 nz and they said I'd need to find a coach builder to fit them as the headliner would need removing and bolts inserting througn the roof!!!!

In my opinion they look much sleeker without the rails, if you need to carry anything you can still buy the cross bars to fit in purpose made slots. I'm glad I never had mine done as it was for cosmetic purposes only and the rear wing I fitted now distinguishes mine from many other Outlanders in the UK both roof rail and non roof rail models.
