Lots of great info in this thread. I have a J-03 unit, so ofcourse am looking to change it to english. After reading through a bunch of Russian pages, I came across a tutorial which involved burning a LOADING.KWI to a disc, inserting into MMCS, entering the hidden menu and uploading from disc. Unfortunately, that didn't work. Now I am getting a cycle of messages along the lines of "Checking screen data" and "Screen data upgrade failed, restarting", the unit then restarts and repeats the same process. Have tried disconnecting the battery for 30mins, but this has not helped. Any ideas? I had originally tried to unlock the harddrive by connecting it to a computer, but XBOXHDM wouldn't recognise the drive for some reason, was using 2.5" to 3.5" IDE converter attached to IDE on PC, no USB or anything like that & it was showing in BIOS but not XBOXHDM.

Hi Mark , I can just say that the matter here is quite complex , to be fair. One advice I can give you is to ask to whom seems to be the guru now here after Otaku left this 3d : Vadimus .
I also think that he should have some "big" donations from us for all the good advices he shared in these years. (And what about Otaku?)
This way we should be reviving some very good knowledge they had for all of us (and still counting).

P.S.
Sorry Vadimus to name you here ;-) BTW , how can we donate you for your help?

:-)

Just finished to update my MMCS with new CDDB and M280 european maps (2014-B); it's easy but always make a backup of your HD...just in case!

Bye

That sounds like good news, but what was your previews version you updated from.

Hello Falken72, I am completely new in this Outlander MMCS world.

My european Maps (Portugal) are form 2005, can you help me to update it?

Despite of the date, only major roads and highways are really updated, otherwise there's no radical changes! In consideration of the price (180€ in Italy), i think that mitsubishi's marketing for MMCS really sucks and next time I wont buy this obsolete and tricky optional!
Anyway...some minor changes are evident and better have 2014 maps than 2010!

Hi!

If you are able to pull out your MMCS hard disk and follow exactly the instruction posted here, you shuld not have problems!

I've used an old laptop with EIDE connector and booted with linux cd, but if you are in search of european maps, PM me!
