Default INFO button not working

Hi everybody,

Just picked up a fully loaded 2010 Outlander XLS. I haven't had a chance to play around with it much but one thing I noticed was the INFO button doesn't work to change what's shown on the dash.

I have the navigation package. Does this change anything? I've also searched on the forum and there's posts about being in park with the parking brake engaged to access the settings menu. Does this hold true for just changing what's displayed as well?

Thanks!

You should be able to change the display using the info button, even when the car is moving. I haven't had mine for very long, so I can't really advise what might be wrong though.

I was hoping that wasn't the case...mine doesn't react in anyway when I press it.

Anyone know if this is easy to fix?

It might be just unplugged.

Reconnect it back.

Pull the adjacent vent to get access to this button.

I also have the same problem with my outlander. How to remove/open the air vent without breaking it? Is it clipped? Thanks Sir ...

Pry and pull it. There's a special recess on bottom edge.

After a long period of analyzing on how to remove the air vent without breaking it, finally I got. I saw the problem why the info button is not working. Thanks for the help and guidance you shared to us. The problem is solved and the info button is now working perfectly as it is.
