I recently sold my 2002 Montero. I LOVED that truck but MPG was killing me, and at 168,000 it was finally in need of frequent repairs. As much as I love Expedition style trucks, I really didn't need one. In the 2 years I owned the Monty, I never, not once, took it off-road.

So in comes the Outlander: I had pretty major buyers remorse for the first few days, but after a week, I'm really liking it. There's always going to be a million kick-*** Expo trucks driving around Colorado, and I'll likely always want one of my own, but family comes first and the Outlander suits our needs perfectly. Great mileage, fits all our gear and can tow our little pop-up. It's also super comfortable and love all the creature features.

As for mods: Will likely build some sort of drawer system and sleeping platform and maybe a mild lift with slightly more aggressive tires when the time comes. Or maybe just drive it as-is and enjoy having my weekends back.
