No there was no recall for the exhaust but I live in New Jersey and it corroded/rusted through so they replaced it under warranty.

At the dealer now all they did was put super goop on it lol.

I believe the repair was to slap some goop on the bottom of your car. At least that's what the Mitsubishi dealer did to mine. What have they done for you guys?

They also put some anti-rust coating on my 2010 Outlander as well. If my cross-member was rusted that it would have to be replaced, I would need to wait as the parts are on back order now.

Update- Called the dealer to only know that repair is not available and didn't even bother to offer inspection ... told me to wait until a second notice appears in mailbox

I went to the dealer and all they did was slap the anti corrosion goop on it.(Do not feel safe at all about this so call repair.) I then proceeded to call Mitsubishi Corp. and complain. If I were you I would contact them as well. Mitsubishi corp. advised me to wait until the second recall letter goes out.

How old was your Outlander and mileage when you had exhaust replaced under warranty? Mine is now showing the signs of failure due to rust, but at 10 years and 129k miles, I doubt there is any warranty coverage. I understand this is only a 1 or 2 piece unit from the converter all the way back. My repair shop couldn't find any aftermarket parts, so it's probably a very expensive dealer-only part.
