Daughter rammed a van w/ 97 GS-T
Yes it is true, the 16 year old daughter rear ended a van and did not damage the van at all because she was going under the rear bumper but did tear the front nose of the Eclipse. Will look at it in the morning in the daylight. This was the one I was going to sell. She has now decided that she will buy the car from us. Very happy nobody was hurt and that no insurance company called. All my girls have a syndrome that red lights ahead mean do not let go of the gas, just accelerate and brake when too close, and I just don't get it. Must be a girl character flaw. My wife has it too, with the four daughters.

Update, the car got a small tear in the front end and some light scratches, not too bad, but... that was yesterday and now today at work while she is a barista at a coffee place some heating and air conditioning cube service truck did a hit and run backing into the passenger door. She only found out because there was a witnessbut the police have all the info the witnesses had. They had the name of the business, and the guys went into a quick cash check place right there before the accident, but no license plate number. This should go fine I would think with the name of the business on the truck. The business should be able to pinpoint the guy in a few days after the checks clear with the place they were cashed listed on the back of the check.
And a side note to sk8dudety, I have lots of pictures of that car. It has also been in an obscure magazine a year or two ago on how tobuild aProstreet in your garage, but I did not get to work on it for about a year and a half until this last month when I sprayed the bottom, inside and cage with DP90. After the metal was cleaned up, the bottom of the car is awesome, too bad it is only available to see when you fall down and look up, it is really nice. No new pictures of that, flat black would probably not show much. I've bored most of these guys already with pictures, but again since you asked...2" spindle drop and 2" body drop on the front, the back with Morrison ladder bars, narrowed Morrison/Moser Ford 9" with 35 spline Moser axles, Front narrowed 3" so the tires would turn with body lowered, custom front suspension with tubular top 'A' arms with rebuilt spring pocket in the frame, aluminum bottom mount gas tank but into the trunk, custom made rear frame and cage, etc. I didalmost all of the modificationsinclude the cagewith the exception of the tin work my buddy did because I was too busy to get to the car and he could not stand the wait.
Borrowed my buddy's tunnel ram and carbs, no air cleaners on yet.
Back end when the rear tires were just stuffed underneath for the first time, 15x15 rims on 29"x18.5 Mickey Thompson Sportman Pros.
Inside tubs and tin, I mounted the tubs but my buddyset and formedmost of the tin.
Rear end with anti roll, this all started with a drawing on paper, a piece of plywood and some 2x3 tubing.

The owner of the company asked us why it was turned into the police as a hit and run, his guy said that he thought something was rolling around in the back.He was turned inbecause people were trying to flag him down after he did it and he ignored them and kept going and the HVAC company this guy worked for was closed and there was nobody that would answer. The owner wants to see it Wednesday.
