One statute of the SUPER GT/JGTC philosophy is to expand the series internationally. In the past, there had never been a Japanese motor racing series that had expanded internationally. The JGTC was the first to go abroad. This was the trigger for other Japanese motor racing series to make the leap and run successful events abroad also. In terms of value to the world of Japanese motor sport, this is a hugely important achievement!

what type of racing is this?

 

its a G.T. / circle track racing, japanese style. ( cars from gran tourismo game) its like the european g.t. league. but this one is a bigger league, and they growing bigger. bunch of drivers from le mans series actually signed up to race w/ jgtc .
