Default Crank but No Start conditions and Alarm Immobilization

Does anyone know of the mechanism the Mitsubishi models use to disable their cars through alarm systems? I have two Montero (2001 and 2003) and have had random issues before that I believe may be factory alarm related. If there is a next time I'm going to try to fix or disable the alarm altogether so I'm looking for info.

They are different motors (3.5 and 3.8) but both Limited models with inoperable / broken sunroofs. I wonder if the broken and possibly slightly unclosed sunroof could cause the alarm brain to freak out?

I don't have the keyless entry keychain remotes on mine. I just use the keys.

So I'm looking for information toward the alarm systems. How to disable them, what they disable when they do activate, how to turn them off with the key, how to reset, etc.

Anyone conquered this and want to help? Thanks?
