1990 Mitsubishi Dangan ZZ imported from Japan
I imported a very clean 1990 Mitsubishi Minica Dangan ZZ from Japan and I'm ready to pass it along to a new owner. Car has been legally imported and currently registered/insured in Rhode Island.
A bit about the model:
Based on the 6th generation Minica chassis, the Dangan (Japanese for bullet) ZZ was Mitsubishi's answer to the Kei car hot hatch craze of the era. Also later offered as an all wheel drive version (Dangan ZZ-4) this example is the lighter fwd model. It was also the first production car to feature 5 valves per cylinder beating out Bugatti (EB110) & Ferrari (F355). While Kei laws allowed for 660cc engine size starting March of 1990, Mitsubishi continued to only offer the Dangan with the DOHC 550cc sized engine until September of that year. Video game fans would likely recognize the Dangan as it was featured in the Gran Turisimo series.
I found this really nice example while searching for another car and just felt I had to get it!
There are a few flaws in the paint and a small rust bubble over the back left wheel. Decals have wear and there is some discoloration on a few interior pieces. Aside from that, the car is an great original shape. Currently has 98,696 KM on the clock. Original "5 valve" floor mats and not modified (which is rare to find).
The car is an absolute blast to drive. It runs like a top, clutch is strong and transmission shifts perfectly. 9,000 rpm redline, tight go-kart like steering and weighing around 1450 lbs makes for a truly fun driving experience.
Asking $6900 OBO
Car is located in Providence Rhode Island.
JDM VIN is H21A-0300403
