Default RE: Chrome Interior Door Handles

The chrome feels super strong, I don't think scuffing it up is going to work.

If you're on the fence about the chrome, stop by a Mitsubishi dealer and check out the new Lancer. The chrome handles feel way better than plastic, much more solid and substantial.

Plus, they match the chrome tip on the emergency brake.

Nice mod biscuit. I'm adding this one to my list of Outie mods. Who could have thought the Lancer share the same parts. It's good the lock knob is black, that way you get to choose whether you retain the beige or go for the black. Might consider this mod someday.

Any idea if we can outsource Euro parts? Like the mesh grille.

Check out pages 38 and 39 of the Japanese version: http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp/p...ANDER_0703.pdf

They get matching handles... []

I may ask some 'friends' I know if they can order me a set... Now that I know they are easy to replace.

The parts are going to be cheaper in the US. If you want beige lock buttons you can pop the ones out of your stock handles and put them in the chrome handles. They just snap in place, easy mod when you have the handles out of the car.

has anybody tried the new spray paint that goes right on plastic without any prep? I'm interested to see if any of the plastic would take.

Yeah? That's the newish paint that came out? I found a new Outlander at a junkyard accross the street from me and I'm going to see if I can scam some plastic pieces to try out.

I would go the oild fasion way. I would scuff up the plastic and use some plastic self etching primer then paint it. Maybe even clear coat it.
