I only plan to run the 15psi when racing the nice thing about the digital boost controller is i can adjust it at any time inside the car ill prolly run a max of like 5 psi as a daily driver if that so for how much ide rarely use more than that i cant see it breaking that easy it isnt a drag car more of a street car that i have fun with and have even more fun on the weekends with the street crews around here. i cant wait to down some rich punk in a viper...that will be great hahaha I do know that the cluch is some kind of an upgraded one that was nice to see when i tore the motor appart but i dont really know much about it or rememer much, at the time i was more concerned with why the motor knocked. ill find that out when i upgrade the tranny or motor whichever is next i havent decided. Thank you for the help i really appriciate it anything helps. If you think of anything else let me know hit me with an email when you find out more ctt08@hotmail.com
They're not that rare (although, my opinion may be skewed a bit, I've owned probably 40+). I currently own around 7 or so, and we have roughly 30 here at our shop now.

It's perfectly safe to daily drive 20+ psi on a modified car. 5psi is less than wastegate pressure... your car will run like crap. why even modify it at that point?

If it's a street car, why are you talking about getting a dogbox? that is NOT a transmission you daily drive... do you even know what a dogbox is?

A stock trans is more than adequate for your needs/expectations out of your car. you won't make nearly enough to destroy your trans.

I'll give my brother your e-mail so he can contact you hopefully give you the insight you're looking for.

Girly is right on point in most of her comments, and you do seem to be talking about a set-up that was just thrown together. I have seen staged upgrades including the td05 turbos on websites like dynamicracing.com. They give (in my opinion inaccurate) hp quotes for the stages, as well as list the components and give brief descriptions of why those components are needed. I would recommend following those rough guidelines to getting your car where you want it to be. The path they outline seems to be the way everyone goes, so they must be doing something right.

20 psi is safe to drive daily, although it is impractical. I would think about running 20 at a track (if that's where you're aiming) and maybe drop it to 15 for street. Basically, you don't want to be running an all out set-up every day, for many reasons.

The stock trans is acceptable for your needs however, I've seen stock clutches come out looking like they were micro-polished after a day at the track on a 400hp car. AWD loves to eat clutches, so when you modify it's a good idea to get a beefier clutch and/or flywheel just to make sure you're putting the power to the ground.

I think you have to reconsider some things, but overall I understand where you're headed. The manifold issue is one that I hope we've cleared up (you're gonna have to pay for it, one way or another). So hopefully that'll get you going and help you figure out which way to go with your set-up. Best of luck to ya, and I'll try to make sure my bro hits you up so you can talk to him.

a stock clutch will hold mid 12's, but I wouldn't recommend it... and it won't last long.
BUt if your goal is mid 12's, then just go with a td04 15g turbo, and call it a day.

Look into 19t turbos, I think it will suit your needs just fine, while allowing you to keep your td04 manifolds.
