No idea about the code. But something I have done in the past when the gas gets to low is run seafoam through the gas to clear out anything that could be stuck, and to dry up the gas tank and lines of any water.
Ok, to get the flashing fuel (DTE) light off, you have to put at least 6.6gals into the tank for the DTE to "see" it. Mt wife apparently had only put $10 in... I have since topped it off and that is now reset, though the inaccurate issue still exists.
The Service Engine light remains illuminated and will hopefully get addressed today!
Actually it does, just because you haven't used it and seen its helpful affects doesn't mean its snake oil. I have three clubs and over a thousand people that use it regulary that can vouch for it.
Its not an additive by the way, its a cleaner. Read up on it.
Guys, it appears that the 'Service Engine Light' activation may have been linked to the whole low fuel situation as it went off yesterday. I'm still going to get it downloaded to see what codes appear.
Concerns for now are over! I do use fuel additives and always have on occasion including Classic and Performance cars that I've owned in the past.
if you use crappy low quality fuel, the only additive you need to add every fill up is techron. made by chevron. can buy it at wal mart. very good at keeping your fuel and intake system clean. crappy, low quality fuel is gonna eventually catch up with your intake system. buildup, and carbon deposits, driveability issues. at least everyother fill up, if not every. that seafoam crap is snake oil. all these stop leak products are VERY BAD FOR WHATEVER SYSTEM YOU PUT THEM IN.
