Tapping Lifters

RE: Tapping Lifters
Nah its nothing to be worried about. My engine makes it sometimes when its cold for like 5 seconds on start up. Its all personal preference... if it really does begin to anoy you then you can take the option of replacing them with 3g lifters or just an exact replacement. Although with the 3g lifters you have a much less chance of it happening again. With the 2g lifters it could come back the same way.
There are many things you can do to rectify the problem. One being change them, two you can change your oil if you havnt already, three you can try an oil additive to get rid of the noise.
One month ago i was in you position and i was faced with either live with it, replace them, or try an additive. I figured i might as well try the cheaper alternative before the more expensive one so i tried an oil additive. It does take time to start working. Maybe 300 miles.... but it did work for me.
The choice is yours
