1st gen eclipse power issue
Hello everyone, this is my first thread in here. I have already searched around but couldnt find anything to help me with my problem so here it is.
I have a 1993 eclipse gs 1.8L with a 5spd, the battery is in great condition and has nearly a full charge. My problem is it seems like there is an issue with getting the power to the rest of the vehicle. The interior gets some power but not all of it. The engine started fine this morning with no lag but died on me very abruptly while I was heading to a mechanics shop. Now it wont turn over at all and I dont hear the starter. Can the starter just crap out on u that quickly with no signs of going out? I need to get this car rolling on its own soon before I miss classes, please help me. Thank you for your time in advance. |
alternator.
Also battery connections, especially to ground. |
and fusible links.

I had the issue that my car would start then die abruptly. Turned out it was the ignition module inside the distributor. Unfortunately, you cant just replace the ignition module, you have to replace the distributor
