4g63 swap
 

I wanna do a 2.4 swap in my 1st gen eclipse . So far I have been told to get a 4g64 galant motor. Not sure what year . So what info I'm looking for is

1 what year galants have 2.4 that I can use.
2 does it matter if it's 6 bolt or 7 bolt.
3 is there anything special that needs to be done before it will work.

I'm not turbo charging it. It has to be n/a. Rules for my race division. I'm pretty sure my motor is a 6 bolt.

Also why do I need 2.4 cam gears. Can I use my 2.0 gears and re index them.

Please let me know what you guys think I don't wanna was my time and money.

hay mate im new to this, how do i post a thread? i have a early model mirage cyborg with a evo/vr4 motor in it and need some help with setting the cam angle sensor cause it runs but quite rough like the timings out or something. could you help?
