90 GSX Rev Issue
hi Guys. Names Jake.
I Personally don't have a DSM, but did own a 90 GS 16v Turbo Swapped before. Heres my Issue. My cousin has a 90 GSX, and says he cannot go past 3k RPM in ANY GEAR except 1st. to me sounds like when i had my MAF hooked wrong, lol. Any other ideas? i'm gonna be headin over there to take a look at it later today. wanna have a game plan before i go out. Thanks again guys! |

Boost leak.
It makes sense as to why he can only run in 1st, because the car isn't under much load in 1st and won't build much boost, but in the other gears it should hit full boost and problems will show. Google search boost leak test and follow instructions. |

Nice Svo, like sebba said check for boost leaks and try unplugging the maf and see if it makes any difference. Does his gsx have any mods?

GSX is bone stock.
Wires are Exposed in the MAF (couple even touching) Unhooked MAF wouldn't Even start. Starter is noisy as ****! Probably is a Vacuum leak could hear Hissing while it was running (Extremly Loud!) So many little problems too many to name lol. Sounds like a DSM to me.... (daily scheduled maintinance) lol Thank you i do enjoy my SVO, do miss my DSM but couldn't go back lol:D |

Ford (found on russian dump) jk, fix the issues w/ the wring to the maf and try to find the vacuum leak. Also do a boost leak test.

man, its (Fast Over Rocks and Ditches) lol.
Anyways ya. the wiring Haggard. i told him to Fix EVERY Clipped Wire with Sodder and Heat Shrink. then move on to other problems. next time i visit him i'll do the Boost Test. |

FIxed the Maf wiring, and found the Boost Leak (IC hose loose) now it screams! still not faster than a good ole SVO
