Fogging Windows

Hi all! I"m a new member to this forum and I must say so far it is absolutely fantastic. I will be exploring everthing as soon as I can. I want to post a question now however on a problem my son and I have with his Eclipse. I understand I will need to supply more info as needed. We bought a 1994 base model Eclipse last fall with a bad motor. (Lost the bearing shells on the balance shafts) We installed a used motor and is running fine. The nagging problem however is when using any form of interior heat the windows (all windows) fog up to the point of not being able see thru them. We litterly have to wipe them off to see. As I said , I will be clad to supply more info, but has anyone else had this problem, and if so where and how do I procede? Thanks in advance and again Great Forum!

Thanks for the reply estraw. We live in Iowa, and we have tried all combinations to our knowledge. I thought I would start with verifing all blnd door operation is correct. Then check what ever cabin exhaust ports there is to see if they are blocked???? Thanks again.

No. It does not hold a charge.

RE: Fogging Windows

thats prolly got somethin to do with it. when you put your heater on defrost, the ac comes on to control the humidity. thats what actually defrosts your windows. get a shop to check it out and see where its leaking from and fix that, once you do your defroster should work again

Thanks estraw, and thanks to dsm1990gsx for your reply. That makes a lot of sense. Should have thought of that. My son and I will be working on the car today to winterize and check things out. We'll look into the a/c and get you an update. Thanks again.
