Need advice please

I am thinking about jumping into the mitsubishi world. I am looking at a 93 gsx its straight. but i guess the timing jumped so the head is messed up.
I guess I am asking is this a common problem? how hard an exspensive is it to fix? an is this a good car? Thanks! any other input would be good too.

How much is the guy selling it for?

you can replace it yourself if you are mechanically inclined. Youll need to send the head to a machine shop to be fixed. But the rest isnt too bad. The machine shop will charge around 400-500 to do. Otherwise if you bring it some where guaranteed you will be spending about $2k to have it fixed at a shop.

well if you are going to get any then a GSX is the one. A couple things i would check is for rust. These cars tend to rust especially with the age. And also check the suspension because again age will have components fail.
