well i have a 91 eclipse with a 92 imported swap (4g63) and did a 5 speed manuel swap also racing headers catback exhaust new plugs and wires....my ? is this when its cold the idle bounces back and forth from roughly 1,000 to almost 2200 then when its getting warm it stops when its fully warm it seems to be missin ill b accelerating or keepin it at a stedy pace and itll b missin i think i dont kno if its a sensor or what it is but please some1help...... another ? it my mass air sensor is in the filter part of my intake how do i install my after market intake and keep the sensor (if need be)???? please help

 

Is this a turbo or not. Yes you need to keep the MAS. The intake should be made that keeps it. And the missing and idle problem is either a vaccuum or air leak in the intake. Or a sensor. Which could be the IAC (idle air control)

 

a non turbo do u kno where i can get a different exhaust i have a pace setter i really want a better ..... how hard do u hink it would b 2 makeit a turbo with a stroker kit and a price amount

 

to turbo the nt engine is gonna cost at least 3k.Try this place for the exhaust. VRS is fairly decent

so how would i rig up my aftermaket intake so it works properly cuz a hole in it and mount the MAS or put it in the filter part some how

 

can you get a picture of your engine bay. I dont remember how the MAS is with the NT. Is it a black box that has a honeycomb in it, or is it just a sensor mounted on the pipe.

 

ok i just got my car back from the dealership today and i had the same problem but mines a automatic though anyways clean out the throttle body, fix the idle and change the spark plugs & spark plug wires thats what was wrong with my 94 Laser RS and it fixed it right up

 

the mass air sensor is in the black box where the filter is...if my engine is tipped a lil 2 the rear is that bad

 

if i bought the turbo kit on ebay would it bolt right up to my motor or do i have 2 cuztomize nething the kits like 550 so it seems worth it what do u guys think?!!?

 

ok about your mass air sensor problem. go to a near mitsubishi/ dodge dealer if ur car is a plymouth laser or a mitsubishi eclipse and tell them you want them to do a dynoastics of the car and check the mass air sensor. that should do the trick and hope that works. im running 101,627 miles on my Laser rs. well on the turbo idea it may work it may not idk about that.
