safc settings

I just installed my safc and I was wondering what settings I should start my tune with? Any info or links would be great.
Thanks

I meant the +/- but I got it wired in and it wont turn on.... My car is running really rich and barely stays running. I followed the instructions on vfaq.com to the "T" except my ground wire didnt have orange bands on it... I just connected it to the corresponding pin... Please help!

wait mine did the same thing there is one pin that looks like 2 wires go to it but what you got to do is cut it from the ECU and on the side going to the ECU one wire from the SAFC splices and on the other half the other SAFC wire splices....here is the scamatic from the EVO it shows what I am trying to say on the top left corner I screwed that up and my car ran super rich and would try and stall out as soon as I fixed it I was fine
basicaly make sure the pink and orange wire are on the right section of the factory wire and no connected all together

the EVO they had it a lil different, but if the car wont start I dont think you wired it 100% it sounds like something other than settings. you have it on Karma right? with it on $cyl or 2 cyl? and the upward arrow? I talked with a few DSM owner who said they had to run it as a 2 cyl cause of only 2 coils, but I was told to do that with mine and I am working properly on 4 cyl so im not sure

Here is what it said for the EVO:

In the Th-Point section of the S-AFC, set the low trigger around 25%, and the high trigger around 65%.

In the NePoint section, set them to;
S-AFC:
1k, 2k, 3k, 4k, 4.5k, 5k, 6k, and 7k,.

S-AFC II (adjust your points where needed):
1k, 2k, 2.6k, 3k, 3.6k, 4k, 4.6k, 5k, 5.6k, 6k, 6.6k, 7k

again it needs to be on Karma or the car wont run right if at all

RE: safc settings

I reset the safc and set it to karman and tried both 4 and 2cyl but no change. Is it the pink or orange wire that should be connected to the ecu plug? If its set to 0 accross the board it should run stock, right? Throttle is set at 10% low and 50% high....
Thanks

RE: safc settings

My throttle points were too low... It wasnt getting enough fuel to start. Now I just have to go log a few runs and do some tuning... then I can install my 560 injectors and turn up the boost just to tune it again.

Why do we love the cars soooo much? What the h3!! is wrong with us??

everything zerod out will be stock the two wires for the air flow need to be seprate and the pink wire connects to the ECU half of the cut wire and the orange connects to the other section of it
maybe my drawing of it will help.... I didnt know what color the factory wire was (I forgot) so I used green but you should get the idea

oh sweet.. you posted this as I posted a reply for before... when you get you 560s in I have a link to little tuneing guide from a 2G with 560s that might help, the EVO also uses 560s which are stock...I didnt look at it to be honest though I tuned with my wideband I had to lean it way out up top from 5k-7k I am between -16 to -19% and I am reading an 11.3 A\F on the wideband still
