Default starter squeel

Ok I just bought a 90 talon tsi awd. It has alot of mods, major ones are Dejon race FMIC, pte .50 trim, 780cc's, all the supporting mods.

Ok on with the question, when I got to start up my car it squeels horribly, and its not any belts its def the starter, what should I do?

How are all drive your belts and the one driving your water pump/alternator/power steering? Just a couple weeks ago my car startedsqueeling bad andmy water pump went out and cost a good 600 dollars plus another 300 dollars in fried seals. Plus it never hurts to replace that stuff especially if its had a previous owner who liked it to go "fast".

The starter starts it up just fine. It just makes a horrible noise. I guess Ill just deal with the noise and wait for it to go out? or should I be safe and replace it?

This may sound a little off, but I had the same issue with my 92, it ended up being the bearings in the alternator, did'nt find that out until the alternator died and once the new one was in no more squeel on startup.
Might want to check the Alternator.

Funny you said that. I just put a new one on like an hour ago, and the squeel isnt as bad but still is there. Its a little more high pitched now but not as loud.

If the noise is constant it could be from an idler pulley
