upgrades for 1g 94 eclipse?
 

I just bought this car to keep me from driving my gas hog all the time, im not looking to race or anything but the car seems gutless. Im just looking for some simple upgrades i can do just to give it a little more horse.

1.8 im pretty sure

Well that explains why its gutless, you have a 1.8 (4g37). There isn't much you can do to that engine.

So no performance chips, better air intake, cats, mufflers, anything? I can barely break the tires loose and I can put the pedal to the floor and slowly accelerate up to highway speed. I just figured being an eclipse I would have expected more but if that's all the 1.8's got then I'll just have to deal. No big deal it sure beats 9mpg on the highway! Thanks anyways.

Well you can do a cai and exhaust but thats really abt it and the gains wouldn't be much at all. Your best bet to make power is to swap in a 4g63t.
