Default Well, thats odd!

I was changing the oil friday, and decided to clean the spark plugs & re-gap them. ( Set at .032") They are A/C Delco #63 plugs, and my car runs ritch almost all of the time, so they foul out often. (Bad O2 sensor, I think.) I also advanced the timing about 2deg. to compensate for the fuel additive I've been running. Set like this, I am getting 33mpg, and I can feel a noticeable increase in take off power. HOWEVER, now, when I am driving allong at any speed, when I let of the gas and count slow & steady to 4, Every Single Time the check engine light comes on. Thesplit second I hit the gas, it goes out again. Like I said before, it is running better than ever before. I also disconected the battery last night when I got home and re-connected it when I left for work this morning. (Thinking it might reset the computer thingy) No difference. I do not want to set it back, because I like the way it is running. The dash light is just irritating. Thats all. By the way, Would NGK plugs be ok in the 1.8L engine? I was debating between them or the Bosch Platnum +2 plugs. I just do not like A/C Delco plugs. I might put in Champion plugs. I have allways had great service from them in the past. ( But that has allways been in pickup trucks.) -------------i'll shut up now..........................

Thanks guys. I'll be picking up a set of NGK's tomorrow when I get paid. Is there different types of ngk's or is just the basic ngk plug good enough?
