what up peeps?

i haven't been on in a while. i used to have a 95 420a eclipse. now i have a 90 talon tsi i got it for pretty cheap and runs really well. on about 20lbs of boost right now. gonna be on more often now that i have a dsm again. in the time i've been gone, i've joined the army and am about to deploy to iraq. i shall be on here a lot on my downtime

welcome back. 20lbs of boost...i hope thats an upgraded turbo because the stock 14b wont last long on that

J/w what injector dutey cycle are you seeing at 20 psi? I was maxing out my 560's at 18 psi. Are you running the stock 1g maf?

jason clipse 07-29-2009 12:05 AM

no running a vr4 maf and i cant remember. i will let u know tommrow sometime, i will check. it took me running +32 on the neo to hit fuel cut and thats cause i turned it up to see how much it took. the car only runs on +19 or 20 max tuned. so nowhere near it but i will give u an exact number probably tommrow. and i forgot to add that i got drilled and slotted rotors and carbon metalic pads. im sure i forgot other things too

nice mods list. Too bad its only a tsi and not an awd. but i guess you can only get whats available.

Any plans on going to the track? Id love to know what time that can pull

jason clipse 07-29-2009 04:08 PM

it is awd :D and the kid i bought it from ran a 13.4 on 16lbs of boost with a sidemount, that was 10 less hp than i ran on a sidemount, tune and 18lbs of boost. i have yet to dyno with the frontmount, but after i go get a little tweaking i plan on going to the track. i too want to see what this thing can run. it pulls hard as hell. hopefully i can get more pics today too.

plus it needs the suspension im going to put on it this weekend. its way soft and squats (too hard in my opinion) hard even on the highway. i figure taking some of that "slack" out will help the power get down.

dsm1990gsx 07-29-2009 05:30 PM

You should be high 12's easy, you pretty much have the same setup as me. but w/ a little more boost.

jason clipse 07-29-2009 06:57 PM

yea i got to learn how to launch an awd car its my first one. thats probably what is going to kill me the most on my 1/4 mile time

also: i will log some runs later when its not hot as balls outside. got to 103 today
