03 Eclipse Spyder-GT in Winter?
Hey guys I'm new to the post, my friend likes to buy salvaged cars and rebuilds them then sell for a cheap price. I asked him for an Eclipse Spyder, and he found an 03 Eclipse Spyder GT auto, 12k miles and asking about 7500 w/ everything fixed, because even though its a salvaged title it's only the front bumper that has damaged. I asked for an insurance quote and it was very surprising but my main question is how this car handles in the winter. Is it too low to drive in the winter? Or is it drivable during the winter? Snow tires needed? or all season tires?
Thank you for everyones expertise.

RE: 03 Eclipse Spyder-GT in Winter?
2 weeks after I bought mine, it snowed, and with the Goodyear Eagles (non aqua-tread) I didn't have a single problem. Haven't had a chance to drive in heavy ice yet, but my RX-7 drove like a charm in heavy ice with Goodyear Integrity tires on it, kinda fun to punch it on the highway, and get it a little out of control. I guess what I'm getting at, as long as ya know how to drive in the snow/ice, it doesn't really matter what rubber or how low the car is to get around, unless ya live in some serious mountains, or mega-hilly area. We don't get but more than 6" of snow at any given time here (La Junta, CO) either.
p.s. I think you'll be ok driving around the Denver metro area, but I dunno about goin to Aspen for a weekend or anything, LOL. 'Bout time someone from CO jumped on the forum, LOL.
