it all depends on your perspective on numbers. if you're the kinda guy that agrees that bigger numbers are better, than maybe 1998s are for you. however, some believe that #1 (aka 1st place) is better than bronze or silver, so you may wanna go for 1995

Newer is better unless you like older. I dont think i can tell you what you should be able to decide for yourself.

lol depends on which model you are talking about. The 420a, gs/rs, if you want to turbo it go with a 95 5spd because they have a cool mas sensor that dosent apply fuel cut, but the crank bearings have a notch in them so when you rebuild you have to get a new crank, rods, bearings because they are no longer made. Also the ecu is different in the respect it uses a different program that dsmchips.com will work on, needs to be a custom applaction tho. Also the 95's fuel filter and fpr are under the hood right on the fuel rail making a return line. This is the only year that if you do decide to do a turbo and want to run a sfmu there is no need to run a return line. If you wnat a turbo auto go 96, it dosent have the cool mas sensor so you will need a fcd but the 95 auto ecu's take a **** when it gets a bit too hot under the hood, but still uses the same type of program as the 4g63's, plus the 96 will key dance which 98 wont do. If you want a all motor go with a 97 becuase Howell automotive makes a chip for them, very nasty tune, makes the car shoot flames out the exaust n crap, but only works for the 97 because they have a different ecu pinout then the 98-99 and the 95-96. Also the 97 is the last year that will key dance. 98 which i have are no different from the 99's except for the fact that there was a special package going on with a gsx wing and oz rims.

What year is best?? Whatever one you like the looks of is best. Remember YOU are going to have to drive the car until you wreck it or blow it up and can't afford to fix it.

Are you even old enoug to drive? Maybe start out with something simple like a escort.

RE: 1995-1998

Nah something simpler is necessary. Try a Geo Metro (3 cylinder model of course he can jump to 4 cylinders when he grows up LOL). Maybe even as low as a moped first...
