The highest n/a dyno for a 420a that I have see was just shy of 200whp, it was something like 192. The kid had a rebuilt bottom end 10:1 compression, cranes street grind cams, intake, exaust, hedder and the thing was dyno tuned. A high performance 420a rebuild kit is 2100 dollars from howell automotive. Thats: pistons, rods, rings, oil pump, cams, retainers, lifters, head gasket, studs, adj. cam gears, timming belt, and ever gasket/bolt you could need. Hedder is 300 off ebay, intake off ebay is only 50 bucks. For electrionics at the least you would need a wide band 300, ingition control unit with spark retard which crane makes for 600. All of that totals up to 3350. That doesnt include the machine work the block and head need, the cost of labor to make the motor, the cost of labor to put the motor in, the cost of the dyno time and tune. Now that kid who made 19X some wheel hp ran a low 15 at the track, 15.2 which is the fastest someone with a n/a 420a eclipse has ever gone(with out spray). For 2000 dollars you can get a stage one turbo kit from hahn that will put you at 15.2 with a good launch. For 3200 dollars you can get a stage 2 kit which will put you at 14.5.
