1G Bov
I was thinking about just going with the 1G Bov, I was wondering how much boost can it handel, and how does it sound compared to the 2G?
|
RE: 1G Bov
a crap load more compared to the 2g... it can handle like 20+... and even more when you 'crush' the top of it. The 2g one is plastic.. tahts why it sucks ass so bad.

RE: 1G Bov
I see, what is the sound difference? and does anyone have one for sale?
|
RE: 1G Bov
they sound just like a rush of air... nothing else.
Forge makes their own 1g bov... its pretty good. I dont know anyone on here that has it for sale |
RE: 1G Bov
im just trying to decided weather to go with like a greddy type RS or just 1G

RE: 1G Bov

RE: 1G Bov
Decide how much you're wanting to spend first. A 1G can be had for around $50 where the RS is how much again?;)
Then again the RS can be adjusted to handle more boost pressures where the 1G can handle more boost pressures too but once it's "crushed", you can't uncrush it, lol. I've got a Forge 1G and I just sold my other one. I like mine so do the other Forge owners. I also noticed your "sound" statement. Is this question really about the sound? You do know that you should have your bov, whatever you choose to get, recirculated right? If it's sound you're really concerned with there are two ways to do it right without negatively affecting ECU/motor performance. One is to get hard upper I/C piping, hard intake piping, and a higher flowing filter. The other is to get a GM MAF+T. You'll also have to get a new upper I/C piping to fit that in there. |
