1g BOV install on a 2g eclipse?

I've read on some of the stickies you can use a 1g BOV for you 2g eclipse, instead of getting a new BOV for essentially a lot more money...

How do i go about finding a 1g BOV? I don't know anyone who has one and their aren't many junk yards around here...Even if their was, i highly doubt i would find a BOV....

Would it be better to go to an advanced auto parts and order a 1g BOV? If this doesn't work, maybe the dealer? Either way, seems like it would be cheaper...

Do i need anything else for the install, or just the 1g BOV?

I'm new and used to have domestic. (sorry for stupid questions)

My friend told me something about the flanges don't fit or something...I need to match it? I don't know...

Also, what is the benefit of going to a store and buy a nice BOV? Just looks, or makes the install easier somehow? (Perhaps different sound) I would get a cheaper new one, since I'm obviously not going over 16lbs...

Their is a shop close to where i live that works on turbo cars only...The guy told me he could find me one and install it for 90 bucks...Yes, i know this is high, but he's going to make it fit and he's done this many times...Honestly, i would rather pay the little extra bit of money and have him do it right...

Now, about the downpipe. Where do you guys suggest i buy one?

I want it to go all the way back getting rid of the catalytic converter. My current exhaust is 3inches from the catalytic converter back. (I measured it today)

im pretty sure megan racing downpipe removes the cat. And it is both relatively inexpensive and good quality. Like this

I would avoid getting parts off of ebay. They may look good in the picture but when you get them, they can (and most likely will) be crappy lol It might cost you a little more but I would go with the part that engineer suggested.

Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for :D

the difference is the quality of welds, piping, hangers, flanges, fitament, ect. DO NOT buy stuff like this on ebay, you will be regreting it later on.
