im 16 and im looking into getting a second gen eclipse gs. i just dont have to money right now to pay insurance on a gsx, maybe in the future, along with an evo :) . but built right with a good turbo set up and built engine with all top shelf performance parts how much power is capable out of a 420a. im not scared to put the money into the engine over time and my dad is a mitsubishi master elite tech for 17 yrs now.

seriously the insurance cannot be much more between a GS and GSX. Your way better off getting the gsx. You start with a much better motor and base and having AWD. The cars are so old now that i just cant see the prices being all that different.
But you can do to a 420a as much as you want as long as money is not an option. But how much can you really afford to do if you dont even have the money to get insurance on a GSX. Because the 420a will take a good amount of money to make quick and you will have less reliability as you do with any car that gets modded. Also you know in order to get the most out of that engine you will need to rebuild the whole internals. I would get a quick quote on the GSX before you waste the time and money on a 420a. And ask around. Everyone you talk to that buys a 420a will say the same thing. "I wish i just bought a GSX first" |

My car single Mitsubishi Eclipse 99 (420a) non turbo) Starts difficultly every morning, and the engine drips oil at the crankshaft, I decided it in such a way that I resume his engine because of this, I secure components difficultly since I live in Hungary, My components Ebay I bribe it, a little bit heavy for me, because the transport is expensive here, I lay these components get in the car: OBX Radiator Hose Mopar thermostat MLS full gasket set TopLine Intake exhaust valves HY-Lift Johnson lifters TopLine Hydraulic Tensioner Topline oil pump Gates t246rb timing belt GMB water pump Tensioner (made in Japan) Idler (made in Japan) Cometic head gasket TopLine head bolts Wiseco pistons 10.5.1 Eagle Rods Clevitte77 main/rod bearings Walbro gss342 fuel pump Fuel Pressure Regulator+Gauge New fuel filter Engine Motor Mount Inserts kit AEM Short Ram Intake 22-430r OBX Cam Gears OBX Spark Plug Wires 10.3mm OBX Spark Plugs iridium r200 MSD ignition Fram ph16 oil filter Freeze Plug kit Bomz Crank Pulley + gates belts New Crank Pulley Damper Bolt Megan Strut Bar 3set The car will not be turbo onto equal one, It would be liked yet Arp screws , but do not find for an acceptable price :( I would have a couple of questions to you: Necessary somebody else yet into him to lay into the engine my list without that let him be good ?
