Which engine is more powerful? and which one do you guys like better and why.

 

Ok... i tell you what. You try and find me a VTEC engine with over 900hp WITHOUT SPRAY. and then see how many 4G63s you can find with that. You will soon have your answer

Ok im going to be nice and answer your question. The 4G63 has tonnes more potential and it has been proven. For example how many 900hp VTEC engines are there? Have you ever heard of the "VTEC - All of the lag and none of the turbo"? That should pretty much say it. The 4G63 block is built stronger with better internals and more cylindrical capacity. For example... when was the last time you saw a 2.4L civic hatch? The only VTEC engine is like is the S2000 engine. Now that i will admit is bad ***....but hardly anyone mods them.

So to break it down. 4G63 has much more potential in strength and power.

 

now for the hard part, to find someone on this forum that prefers honda to dsm

lol. first answer is 4g63and on a mitsu site I dont think there will be any other answer.

The 4G63 has been around for what 20years now I think there is a good reason why. the Vtech motors change every like 2. EVOs are making 988AWHP on the 4g63 with a stroker kit. No Vtech is doing that. actually the worlds fastest hatch ran a high 9 sec 1/4 which is fast but he cant street drive that it is a drag specific car. there are plenty of evos that run 9.2(AMS)-high 9s and run on the street as well because they are full bodied EVOs and look hardley differnt from your every day EVO other than tires and body kits\sponser decals

 

that is false. everyone mods s2000s they take very well to mods so do RSX typeS but not as well as the 4g63, on top of that there are like 100 vtech motors that are all different in honda world. off the top of my head. b16, b18,H22(i think is vtech), k20, k20a I know there are single cam vtechs and then there are better versions DOHC vtechs

worst question EVER .I agree this isn’t 2006 it’s 2023 and the nonsense you where going on about is irrelevant 🥱🥱🥱. the b20/b18/b16 has been pushed over 1,000 horsepower easily with next generation turbocharged technology and way more advanced tuning then there was when you made this post the fastest b20 powered car has been in the 6s in the 1/4 mile even with H pattern manuals and even faster with autos .an b18 c even an b16a stock is better then the 4g63T at the lowest power level which was 210 horsepower in the dsms the Hondas were making 160 to 180 horsepower na no boost with. upgraded vtec camshafts and an big turbo the b series wipes the floor with the 4g63T .not to mention that now we have had the b series for almost 25 years,not only that we have the the bigger h series from the Honda prelude’s with vtec .and the k series with the last real ivtec . And the f series.the fastest 4g63T powered car is red demon it’s an high 6 second car the fastest vtec powered car is also an 6 high second car or even faster 👀 .let’s end it here both engines are very good and part of the rare 4 cylinder engines that have been in the 6 second range or faster it joins that group with the ecotec 4 cylinder and other 4 cylinders that have been in the 6s
