94.5 and half started the 7 bolts and yes the swapis quite easy, not many parts to it just tedious crap. Slowboy racing and all of those sites want to convince you that you need a 1,500 dollar kit to do it, thats garbage. Here is what you need:

[:@]NO it wasnt in 94.5. It was in 92.5. In May of 1992 they changed to the 7 bolt to be exact. And actually the RRE swap is alittle short on the parts. I would use http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/tech/1gina2g.pdf

Wait, was there a chance that a 6 bolt made its way to early 95? Or was there def. a swap on my Talon before it made its way to me... which would actually explain a few things..

the 6-bolt only came in eclipses from 1990-1992.5

Wow, lol, thanx, that def. closes the case on a 4 year old mystery, lol... There had to be a swap, I was wondering why I was never victimized with crankwalk.. A friend of mine has been telling my for years that this motor didnt come stock in this car cuz it was a 6 bolt...

how did he know it was a 6-bolt? Cuz there are only a coupld ways to tell, and there is no way to tell by just looking at the engine bay

The easyiest way is to feel the oil pan too. I think that's in the FAQ section too.

thats what i thought he was gonna sya how they found out, but taking of the tranny and seeing the flywheel is a pretty good indicator
