95 eclipse, can you damage throttle body by cleaning
I recently had to replace the EGR valve on my car so it could pass emissions. Also, they did what they called an air induction cleaning, which includes the throttle body.
This morning after driving for about 30 minutes, it would try to die when I came to a stop. As soon as I accelerated, it smoothed out, but did not have good acceleration.
In the past when I had this problem, the dealer said the throttle body needed cleaning. Since I just had this done, could the repair center (not the dealer this time) have done some damage to the throttle body?

There is a possibility that when the non dealer center did your de-carb on the throttle body. They may not have gotten all of the carbon out of the throttle body.I would take the car back to them and explain the problem to them and proceed from there.
