Default 95 Eclipse GS

I recently purchased this car. It has 105,000 miles, and I recently did a tune up,fuel filter change on it. When I go short distances (2miles), and turn the car off. Then try to restart the car it will not start. If I open the hood and wait about 3-4 minutes it will then start. Not sure what the problem is. PLEASE HELP

How good is your battery? Maybe try to jump start it when it does this and see if that helps... Just thinking that maybe the battery may get drained from starting the car and if it only goes a short distance it may not have time to charge back up...

sorry for such the wait.. I'm not sure if it is your battery though. if it were to be that.. I at least would think that letting it sit for 5 min wouldn't charge it back up.. but it does make sense that your alternator is being gay. and is suckin your battery dry. maybe after sitting for a sec, it drains enough juice from the battery to start **** up again?? not sure, but that'd be my first check.. find an alternator tester.

I was going to suggest alternator too... it's seems like it would be something to do with the starting/charging system...so, first check the basics --- batter, alternator, and starter. Go to your local auto parts store, they should be able to check your alternator and battery for you.

Yes $ 800.00 later I hope they figured it out!! My car did not have a fuel regulator on it, And it had the wrong rail on it. And the fuel pump was running at 65 - 70 psi. It was working hard, So in short they are putting a new fuel system in it. Hopefully this works
